Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Research Trends follows a strict plagiarism prevention policy to maintain originality, academic integrity, and ethical research publication standards. All submitted manuscripts may be examined using plagiarism detection software to identify similarities with previously published research, online sources, and other academic materials. The editorial team evaluates similarity reports and ensures that appropriate citations and references are provided. Authors are required to declare the originality of their work and acknowledge all sources used in their manuscripts.

Authors must acknowledge and comply with the journal's plagiarism and copyright policies during the submission process. Manuscripts must contain original research, and all previously published or unpublished data, ideas, and materials must be properly acknowledged. Necessary permissions must be obtained wherever required. This policy applies to all manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Research Trends.

Plagiarism includes copying ideas, text, data, tables, figures, images, and other creative work from existing sources and presenting them as original without proper acknowledgment. It also includes paraphrasing or modifying another person's work without providing appropriate citations. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all reused materials are properly cited and that copyright permissions are obtained when necessary.

Authors must appropriately acknowledge ideas, findings, and materials derived from previous research. Self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, and submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously are also considered unacceptable publication practices. Authors must ensure transparency regarding previously published work and provide appropriate references.

The primary objective of this policy is to maintain transparency, originality, and trust in scholarly publications. Authors are encouraged to carefully review their manuscripts, verify all citations, and provide proper acknowledgments before submission. Any concerns regarding originality or citation practices should be clarified with the editorial team.

The Journal of Research Trends recommends the following minimum originality requirements:

  • Scientific and Technical Papers: Minimum 85% originality.

  • Humanities, Language, Literature, and Related Disciplines: Minimum 80% originality.

Similarity reports will be evaluated by the editorial team, and properly cited references, standard terminology, and commonly used technical expressions may be considered during assessment. A similarity percentage alone will not determine whether plagiarism has occurred.

AI-Generated Content Policy

The Journal of Research Trends recognizes the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in academic research and writing, provided they are used responsibly and transparently.

  • Authors must disclose the use of AI tools in manuscript preparation wherever applicable.

  • AI-generated content must be reviewed, verified, and edited by the authors before submission.

  • Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and reliability of the submitted content.

  • AI tools cannot be listed as authors or take responsibility for the research.

  • AI-generated references, data, and citations must be independently verified.

  • The use of AI to fabricate research results, manipulate data, or misrepresent findings is strictly prohibited.

  • All manuscripts must comply with the journal's originality, citation, and publication ethics requirements.

Text similarity between 10% and 20% may be considered acceptable only when the matched content is properly cited and appropriately referenced. However, the editorial team reserves the right to assess the nature and context of the similarity before making a publication decision.
